University Library Computer & Informatics Lab (ULCIL)

The registered members of university library can use the University Library Computer & Informatics Centre (ULCIL). Others can also use the ULCIL with special permission of the university authorities/ university librarian/ library in-charge. The following services will be provided by the ULCIL:

Online Services:

ULCIL will provide access to online Health Sciences databases on payment basis. The search fee for such online databases will be Rs. 50/- or for such price as may be decided from time to time per topic for a maximum of 40 abstracts. Rs. 1/- extra for each additional abstract will be charged.  The amount is to be paid to the dealing assistant and a receipt may be obtained.

Internet Services:

Internet browsing facility will be provided in ULCIL on Rs. 15/- per hour basis or for such price as may be determined from time to time. The amount is to be paid to the dealing assistant and a receipt may be obtained.

Digital Library and Other Digital Materials
Document Scanning Services
Net Information Downloading Services
CD Writing Services
Printing of Documents

Rules for the Use of University Library Computer & Informatics Lab:

1         The person desirous of using the ULCIL shall enter their name and other details in the register before entering the ULCIL.
2         The ULCIL are to be used for information searches with priority for studies and research.
3         Chatting and playing games are not allowed.
4         Personal software programs and CDs cannot be used in ULCIL. The center staff will help with basic Internet use and searching strategies.
5         Use of computer and Internet must be for legal and ethical purposes.
6         Anyone responsible for damaging computer/ or media equipment is liable for the full repair or replacement cost of the equipment.
7         All persons who use the ULCIL undertake to observe University Regulations and Rules.
8         Maximum time for browsing the Internet is restricted to one hour only.
9         The facility of ULCIL is available between 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all working days or for such timings as may be decided from time to time.
10       The users are warned violation of the Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights Act in copying the contents of CD-ROMs or in downloading/ using any article/ document from Internet.
11       University Librarian/ Library In-charge reserves the right to stop extending this facility to a person found misusing apart from initiating action as per the rules by the university authorities.
